Making family memories

With us, it’s as easy as A-B-sea!

If you’ve never been on a P&O Cruises holiday before, you may not realise how great they are for families. Well, five out of seven of our ships are family friendly, which means many of the activities and products are ideal. You’ve no need to worry about any of those “are we there yet?” groans, as little ones will be too busy enjoying the entertainment and meeting new friends. With us, it’s a breeze for all the family to discover new destinations together. What’s more, if you choose to sail from Southampton, you’re free to take as much luggage as you want (so favourite teddy you can come too!). Making fun-filled memories is the order of the day, every day.

Cinema

Snacks at the ready…

Settle in for some family escapism at the on-board cinema with the latest blockbuster release or timeless classic. You can even catch a film in the great outdoors on Arvia and Azura with open-air screenings at SeaScreen. Or how about the thrilling live-action of the theatre? Our Headliners Theatre cast will be at the ready to dazzle youngsters with sparkling shows to remember. Little ones are sure to delight in matinee showings, which make for a perfect feel-good afternoon.

Splash-tastic!

Why not opt for one of the quintessential holiday days – the pool day? Pick a sun lounger, take a good book and settle in. Children will be in their element having a splash in the pool, and when hunger strikes, there are lots of family favourites to choose from at the poolside grill. Grab a juicy burger made to a special recipe; savour a handmade pizza, stone-baked to perfection; or make a hot dog even tastier with your favourite toppings. Or how about cooling off with a delicious Jude’s ice cream, or, if you’re on Iona, a Snowflake gelato? You’re on holiday after all! And when travelling as a family, with the Ultimate drinks package we’ll include the Children’s package at no extra cost – perfect for summer days on deck.

Adventures ashore

Enjoy eye-opening culture, mouth-watering cuisine or hair-raising adventure? We can help you find your perfect family experience ashore; whether that’s zip-lining through treetops, uncovering ancient legends, whizzing through beautiful landscapes on a terrific toboggan ride, or tucking into handmade pizzas together. School’s out – surf’s up!

Ride the ocean waves with us during the school holidays and you can enjoy even more family fun, as we welcome on board children’s entertainment throughout our ships. Holiday highlights might include meeting children’s television presenters, watching interactive performers like cool beatboxers and BMX riders, and even seeing full-scale theatre production shows created especially for children. And, exclusively on Arvia and Iona, youngsters might pick up a new skill or interest with our Science, Technology or Radio Academy workshops.
